Three people, including a teenager, are now behind bars charged in connection with the bizarre abduction in Roanoke County.

Roanoke County Police arrested 19-year-old John Miller and 21-year-old Tiffany Brown along with 32-year-old Barbara Assan.

Officers say they also found the handgun believed to have been used in the abduction in the dumpster behind the K-92 radio station on Electric Road.

Assan, Miller and Brown face several charges ranging from attempted robbery to abduction.

They are being held in jail without bond.

Officers tell us a 62-year-old man was kidnapped at gunpoint from his home near Vinton Thursday morning.

Police say the man was told to drive pick-up Barbara Assan, who police say the victim knows, from her home in Southwest County, then drive to Valley Bank on Starkey Road in Southwest County.

The kidnapper told the man to go inside with Assan, and withdraw money from the victim's account.

Instead, the victim gave the bank teller a warning note, the bank went on lock down, and called police.

When officers arrived, they did not find the kidnapper. However, police say their investigation revealed that Assan stole checks from the victim, and officers arrested her.
