State Police hold open house in Salem

»  Comments | Post a Comment

State Police held an open house outside their division headquarters in Salem. It was all to show off their equipment that keeps you safe as well as get to know people in the area.

One of the big eye-openers was the State Police chopper that landed nearby. Officers also showed off their bomb robot they call "Little Gus."

It's the fourth year State Police held the event to give people the chance to talk to the officers.

"A lot of times, when people have contact with police officers, it's not a positive one. So with today's event you get to be up close with an officer, talk to them, get to know what we're all about," said Sgt. Rob Carpentieri.
