Roanoke Police make arrest in attempted robbery

Roanoke City Police say they've arrested a man in connection with an attempted robbery at Anwill Discount on 24th Street.

Officers tell us around 9:49 p.m. Wednesday night, a clerk said a man demanded money from him, and the man tried to grab money from the cash register when it was open. However, the man was not able to steal the cash.

Officers arrived quickly, and arrested 23-year-old Sean Lamar Anderson. Police charged Anderson with robbery.
