Woman robbed at Roanoke's Towers Shopping Center

Roanoke police are investigating after a woman was robbed outside the Towers Shopping Center on Colonial Avenue.

It happened at 3:40 p.m. Friday. Police say an 82-year-old woman was sitting on a bench outside of the Dollar Tree. A young man sitting next to her grabbed money, a bank card, and an identification card out of the woman's sweater pocket and ran. He was last seen running through the parking lot and behind Hollywood Video. The victim was not hurt.
