Creigh Deeds made his way into the Masonic Lodge in Pulaski on Saturday morning for a campaign pep rally three days before Election Day.

"The whole idea is to talk to people and get them motivated, to make the phone calls and go knock on doors to help us get people to go vote on November 3rd,” he said.

Keeping up with the pep rally theme, excitement built up as voters took pictures. Instead of calling them their candidates, this is their team.

"We've been door to door. We've been behind him 100 percent, the whole team,” said Jeannette Sheffey, a voter.

The Democrats had a full squad of cheerleaders from Governor Kaine and Senator Jim Webb to the local Democrats already in office.

Deeds is behind the in the polls, Senator Webb said, "The energy level is what wins the election, so that's what we're doing."

Deeds said it’s all about getting people out on Election Day.

"Absolutely there are people that are undecided and it's about the people that turnout who are going to decide this election, so if we get them out to vote, we're going to win,” he said.

Republican candidate, Bob McDonnell, spent the day campaigning in his northern Virginia hometown. The rally in Fredericksburg drew a large crowd.

McDonnell said he is ready to lead.
