Radford Police arrested and charged a city teacher, after investigators say a juvenile overdosed on drugs in her home.
Officers tell WSLS that the juvenile was at the home of Lori Anne Jarvis this past Wednesday night, when the overdose happened.
Rescue crews took the juvenile to the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, where the juvenile was treated and has since been released.
Officers arrested Jarvis on Thursday, and charged her with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, as well as possession of marijuana. Jarvis is being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail on a $5,000 secured bond.
The Radford School System has placed Jarvis on administrative leave, and her job status is under review.
Police would not say what the relationship of Jarvis and the juvenile was, or what type of drugs the juvenile overdosed on.
