Papers on file in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Roanoke show a judge granted the Virginia State Bar permission to shut down the law office of Ann Marie Miller.

Miller's website confirms her office is closed. As does the message left on her office phone.

Court papers claim the Virginia State Bar has received 15 complaints from Miller's former clients in just the past 18 months.

The court records accuse Miller of incomplete work, not representing or communicating with her clients properly, and that she may have hired a non-attorney file important court papers for clients in some of her cases.

The records also claim she is under investigation for mismanaging and possibly misappropriating some of her clients' money.

The records show at least 200 of Miller's clients could be effected.

Some have already called 10 On Your Side's Problem Solvers hotline asking for advice on getting their $1,500 retainers back.

The state bar will set up a system to repay some or all of her former clients in the coming months.
