There are certain people at a football game that put in a lot of work, but don't always get credit for it.
We found them at the Blacksburg Bruins game.
We’re talking about the press box workers. That includes the stats guy, score keeper, clock master and of course the announcer.
Steve McMullin has been holding the mic for Blacksburg for 10 years now. He says it's not all smooth work.
“I had a couple years ago when I was pronouncing some kids name wrong and about middle of the second quarter I hear all away across the field it's...whatever the name was,” explained McMullin.
The guys have a great time in the press box...they're working, but it definitely seems more like fun.
