We have more details on a deadly accident in Alleghany County that shut down part of Interstate 64 for eight hours.

The accident involving two tractor trailers happened just after seven Saturday night, east of Covington.

According to state police, the driver of one truck ran off the left side of the interstate, crossed the median and hit an oncoming truck.

The force of the accident caused the cab and trailer of the second truck to come apart.

Police say 44-year-old Ashley Weikle of Clifton Forge was inside the cab when it plunged into the Jackson River.

His body was later found.

Right now, the driver of the first truck is facing reckless driving charges.
