By 11 a.m. Friday, two days before Valentine's Day, Roanoke City Court Clerk Brenda Hamilton had married four couples. By 2:30 p.m. she had officially wed five more.

First was Edgardo and Alma, then Kristi and George then Lloyd and Christina.

Kristi Basham, now Kristi Wilhelm had specific reasons for choosing this day, "You can't forget the anniversary."

Brenda has performed at least 2 thousand ceremonies since she began officiating weddings in 2004. Most of the time the bridal party fits in her office. She says she loves being part of this special day for the bride and groom and their families.

"When they leave here they're happy. I try to make them happy," said Hamilton, who clears her calandar for just weddings every Valentine's Day.
