CAMPBELL CO. - More help from our area is being sent to Haiti.
The charity Gleaning For The World (GFTW) based says it plans to send its mobile medical clinic (MMC) to the earthquake hit country. GFTW says the clinic is scheduled to be shipped and unloaded by next week.
According to the charity, it's MMC is designed to be used in rough terrain, and be fully operational within 15 minutes after it is unloaded off the port.
The U.S. military plans to transport the MMC to Haiti.
Doctors hope to treat up to 120 patients each day using the MMC.
GFTW says doctors will also be able to perform surgery with medical supplies it already sent to Haiti from its warehouse.
