TransCore notifes state of layoffs at Clifton Forge facility

CLIFTON FORGE - Dozens of workers in Clifton Forge will lose their jobs, due to layoffs at a transportation technology company's office.

According to the Virginia Workforce Network's WARN website, TransCore plans to layoff 86 employees at its facility in Clifton Forge.

WSLS has a call into TransCore, and we are waiting to hear back from he company, so we can report additional information about the layoffs.

According to TransCore's website, the company began with the early development of RFID to help create the nation's firsst wireless toll collection system in Dallas, and has also created "North America's largest Web-based logistics freight matching network."
