From playing to face painting to creating arts and crafts, the 6th Annual Enchanted Eve New Year's Celebration in Vinton had something for people of all ages.

While some danced the night away, others took their chances in the casino.

WSLS: This is your first year coming. Are you coming back next year?

Parent Crystal Engle: "Yes, definitely."

Meanwhile, at the Roanoke Civic Center, just before 8 p.m., a long line of party goers waited in line to kick off the New Year's Eve Blast.

"Very excited," said one couple. We're looking forward to dancing and having a good time."

New Year's Eve was a night everyone stepped into the spotlight and felt like a super star, no matter their ages or where they were, whether it was in Vinton or Roanoke.

Parents say they like Vinton's New Year's Eve celebration because they can have alcohol-free fun with their kids.

While, several people at the Civic Center say they enjoy the event because it's a place they can also have fun, inside, where it's warm.
