'Get Healthy Virginia' iniative kicks-off

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Virginia Amateur Sports kicked off their Get Healthy Virginia Challenge Monday. Participants gathered at Fit Studio 365 for a kickoff party of the 100 day fitness challenge. Last year they had 523 participants and are hoping for two-thousand this year. One organizer says joining a team can help you stick to your goals.

"If somebody sees me at the vending machine getting a candy bar, my partner or team member might come by and say, you don't need that candy bar. Why don't you go get some water or a health drink or something," said organizer Pete Lampman.

It's not to late to take part in Get Healthy Virginia. Go to www.gethealthyvirginia.org
