»  Comments | Post a Comment

Heartache hits close to home for students who went to school with three of the victims in the Appomattox County shootings.

Tonight, we spoke with Idis Demecio.

She says when she heard about the terrible tragedy, her heart sank. But, she says when she realized she knew some of the victims it hurt even worse.

"I'm trying to be strong for my friends because right now we need each other," said Demecio.

The superintendent for Appomattox County says grief counselors and rapid response teams will be on-hand at school tomorrow to help students.
