ROANOKE - A Roanoke city circuit court judge appointed three attorneys to represent Aveion Lewis's mother, Morgan Lockett.
Earlier this month, a Roanoke grand jury formally indicted Lockett, and her husband Brandon Lockett, for felony murder in the death of the three-year-old boy.
The law firm of Stickland, Diviney, & Strelka will be the court-appointed representation for Morgan Lockett.
Two members of the firm met with Lockett after a short hearing Wednesday in Roanoke Circuit Court.
The attorneys will ask a judge to set a bond for Lockett at a hearing at 10 a.m. Thursday.
