ROANOKE - Court records show detectives have expanded their investigation into two alleged home invaders beyond Botetourt County.
Kevin Ferguson and George Fitzgerald are facing several serious charges, including armed robbery and using a gun to commit a crime as a convicted felon.
Ferguson and Fitzgerald are currently in the Botetourt-Craig regional jail.
Several search warrants on file in Roanoke circuit court claim Ferguson and Fitzgerald are persons of interest in recent home invasions in Vinton, Roanoke, and Roanoke County.
Armed robbers hit a Vinton home early on the morning of February 16th.
Robbers also busted in, tied up, and beat several people in a home in Roanoke County on February 21st.
Court records show the victims in the Roanoke County case told police the robbers left in a dark-colored SUV.
When police arrested Ferguson, he was driving a dark Ford Explorer, according to a search warrant.
The search warrant reads police found dark shirts, a dark hat, and dark gloves inside Ferguson's SUV.
Fitzgerald told investigators he robs people for a living, focusing primarily on drug dealers.
Both men are scheduled to be in court on April 22nd.
