Gleaning For The World sending help to tornado, flood victims in Southeast

CAMPBELL CO. - Gleaning For The World (GFTW), a charity based in Campbell County, says it has sent help to the victims of last week's tornado outbreak across the south.

In a news release, GFTW says it has provided 64,000 bottles of water to Alabama and 32,000 bottles of water to Mississippi. GFTW's partner, Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, will handle giving out the water through local churches.

Also, GFTW plans to help families in the Nashville, Tennessee area, after severe floods over the weekend. GFTW plans to ship 32,000 bottles of water to Nashville by Mondya evening, and is working on sending a second load that includes water and blankets.
