CAMPBELL CO. - Gleaning For The World (GFTW) will be collecting donations to send to families in Tennessee who've been devastated by severe floods.
The floods have caused $1.5 billion in estimated damages, and 52 counties have been declared disaster areas.
So far, GFTW has sent 786,000 bottles of water to Nashville and Franklin, Tenn. The relief organization is asking for donations of:
--Non-perishable food
--Baby supplies
--Personal care products
--Paper products
--Cleaning supplies
You can drop off the items at GFTW's warehouse in Concord, or during one of three upcoming collection sites:
•Thursday, May 13th – Sam’s Club on Wards Road in Lynchburg from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
•Friday, May 14th – Kroger on Route 460 in Appomattox from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
•Saturday, May 15th – Food Lion in Amelon Square Plaza in Madison Heights from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
