Virginia State Police accuse a Craig County woman of doing nothing while her friend lay dying in her passenger seat.
Jessica Rock is charged with the second degree murder of Lisa Deel, investigators said.
In a search warrant on file in Craig County circuit court, state police claim Rock and Deel drove to Roanoke in July to buy heroin.
Once they bought three hits of the drug, the search warrant states Rock told police they pulled over at a graveyard to use it.
Rock told police Deel passed out almost immediately.
Rock said she then drove around Roanoke, stopping to buy items at Family Dollar, and food at Hardee's, according to the search warrant.
The search warrent claims Rock spent at least 11 hours with Deel that day, and Deel was unconscious for most of that time.
Rock told investigators she couldn't awaken Deel when she tried to drop her off at her New Castle apartment, the search warrant reads.
According to the court papers, Rock called a friend to help get Deel out of the car. The friend, James Duke, according to the search warrant, noticed Deel's lips were blue.
Rock's arrest was one of 32 during a drug round-up in Craig County.
Most of the charges involved using or dealing heroin, investigators said.
