The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on December 3, 2011.
Officers responded at 6:40 p.m. to the 2700 block of Clifton Street. Upon arrival they located the victim, an 83 year old male of Wirtz, Virginia.
The victim stated that he was in the second block of Salem Avenue when he was approached by a male and two females who asked him for a ride home. The victim stated that he allowed the individuals to get into his vehicle and they directed him to drive to the 2700 block to Clifton Street.
The victim stated that when he arrived to the 2700 block of Clifton Street he was assaulted by the male suspect and the suspect demanded money. The victim stated that the suspect then obtained his wallet and another item, and all three suspects fled on foot.
The victim stated the he did not require transport to the hospital. No arrests have been made.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect 1:
- Black male
- Approximately 5 feet 3 inches in height
- Skinny build
- Wore a red baseball cap, jeans, dark sweater, and possibly a gray coat.
Suspect 2:
- Black female with a light complexion
- Approximately 5 feet 4 inches in height
- Heavy build
- Curly short hair worn in a ponytail
- Wearing slacks and a blue sweater.
Suspect 3:
- Black female
- Approximatey 5 feet 4 inches in height
- Heavy build
- Hair worn in a ponytail
- Wearing slacks and a gray sweater
