State Police say a crash on Route 460 in Giles County sent a woman and a child to the hospital Friday evening.
Trooper Crigger told WSLS that 18-year-old Hannah Brooks was driving on Rt. 460 west, near Mountain Lake Road, when Brooks crossed the median, and hit a Pontiac Grand Am driving east.
EMTs airlifted the driver of the Pontiac, 61-year-old Judy Spicer, to Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Rescue crews also drove a 7-year-old boy to the hospital. The boy is expected to be ok.
Police charged Brooks with reckless driving, and failure to maintain control.
