The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a robbery from person that occurred on February 1, 2012.
Officers responded at 1:50 a.m. to the 3900 block of Melrose Avenue. The victim stated that he withdrew money from the ATM located at the Roanoke/Salem Plaza, when a vehicle approached him and two suspects exited the vehicle.
The victim, a 42 year old male of Roanoke, then stated that he was physically assaulted by the two suspects, who took money and an item from him.
The victim stated that the suspects then got back into the vehicle which was driven by a third individual. All three suspects then fled in the vehicle, and were last seen traveling east on Melrose Avenue.
The suspects are described by the victim as three black males. The victim stated that the two suspects who assaulted him had a thin build.
The vehicle is described as a green Honda.
