»  Comments | Post a Comment

A tractor trailer driver escaped causing a major mess on Interstate 77  Monday morning, after he lost control of his big rig.

According to David Young with the Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department, the driver was going north on I-77 near exit 8 at Fancy Gap, when the truck hit the guard rail, swerved to the right, and go across the ramp.

The truck ended up crashing into the bank, but the driver was able to keep the truck upright, and bring the truck into the emergency lane.

State Police are investigating what caused the driver to lose control.
