Two Roanoke men face charges in connection with a Franklin County home break-in.
According to Lieutenant Todd Maxey, the case began around 12:54 p.m. on Saturday, February 4th. A citizen called to report a suspicious person in a brown Honda at a Hardy home.
After speaking with the person, the citizen saw a second person leaving the home with items in a pillow case.
Two deputies got to the home, and arrested 39-year-old Barry Lynn Lavender, of Roanoke.
The arrest led to a search for the driver of the car. Vinton Police found it a short time latest, and arrested 40-year-old Charles Wesley Redman, of Roanoke.
Both men are charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony. Both are being held on a $20,000 bond. Lavender has since posted bond, and been released.
