Weather permitting, starting Monday, Feb.6, some nighttime lane closures are planned around Interstate 81’s Exit 150 (Troutville) in Botetourt County for work to drill to take soil, rock and pavement borings. Work is tentatively expected to be completed by Friday, Feb. 10.
Temporary lane closures may be in place, Monday through Friday, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Route 11 and Route 220 around exit 150. In addition, lane or shoulder closures may be in place on the exit 150B ramp.
The test borings are needed to develop plans for future improvements.
These dates are tentative and could be adjusted depending on weather and work schedule.
