High winds knock out power to 2,400+

GILES COUNTY, VA --

11:34 p.m.

Appalachian Power says about 2,400 customers are without electricity as of 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Here's the list of outages as of 11:30 p.m.

Amherst Co. - 312
Bedford Co. - 978
Carroll Co. - 106
Floyd Co. - 261
Franklin Co. - 527
Henry Co. - 147
Montgomery Co. - 112

10:40 p.m.

Appalachian Power says about 2,400 customers are without electricity as of 10:40 p.m. Saturday.

The hardest hit area is Giles County, where APCo's website shows more than 1,000 customers lost power.

Amherst Co. - 305
Bedford Co. - 666
Carroll Co. - 109
Giles Co. - 1,069
Henry Co. - 213
Lynchburg - 140

The hardest hit area is Giles County, where APCo's website shows more than 1,000 customers lost power.
