Bus catches fire in Danville

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Fire damaged a passenger bus at 130 Carolyn Court and threatened a vacant house on Saturday afternoon. No one was injured.

Around 12:30 p.m., Danville firefighters arrived on scene to see heavy fire and smoke showing from the engine compartment at the rear of the bus, according to a department news release.

Crews worked to extinguish that fire while also extinguishing the grass that had caught fire. High winds were pushing the grass fire toward a vacant house.

The Danville Fire Marshal’s office will investigate to determine the fire’s cause.
