Christiansburg Police just sent an update on the pedestrian hit by a pick-up truck.
Officers say the accident took place around 5:40 p.m., in the southbound lane of North Franklin Street, near the McDonald's.
Lifeguard 11 airlifted a 23-year-old man to RMH. Police did not know how seriously he is hurt.
The man's name is being withheld, pending police contacting family.
Witnesses tell police that the man may have stepped into traffic.

Christiansburg Police say a person was hit by a truck on Franklin Street this evening (Wednesday).
Officers tell us the crash took place near the McDonald's, and shut down two lanes of Franklin St.
EMTs airlifted the person who was hit to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Traffic is being detoured through the Food Lion Plaza shopping center.
We're still waiting to hear if police have a condition of the person who was hit, and why police think the accident happened.
