In honor of Black History Month Dollar General is recognizing "Everyday Heroes."

One of the people the company is honoring is Sterling Wilder of Lynchburg.

He is the Executive Director of Jubliee, a center that offers educational and occupational help for students and families.

As part of his reward the Oprah Winfrey Network is airing a commercial honoring the community leader.

“I do my part in the community whether you call it a hero or not I’m just another citizen that's doing their job," Wilder said.

Through 2012 Dollar General plans to honor more everyday heroes including firefighters, veterans and teachers.
