8:19 p.m.

Galax Police just sent out an update about how investigators tracked down Catheryn "Cat" Miller, and missing 15-year-olds Emma Padgett and Gabriella Davis.

Officers say they received information which led them to contact Bluefield, VA Police.  Around 4:00 p.m. Monday, officers from both Galax Police and Bluefield, VA Police arrested Miller in a McDonald's parking lot.

Miller faces these charges related to the robbery she is wanted for in Galax:

  • Extortion
  • Assault
  • Destruction of property

Galax Police say they plan to charge Miller with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, when she is brought back to the city.

After Miller's arrest, witnesses in Bluefield, VA gave investigators information which led them to Millstone Road in Carroll County.  Galax Police officers and Carroll County Sheriff's deputies found both Padgett and Davis there.

The girls have since been returned to their families.

Police say evidence leads them to believe that the girls left voluntarily, and did not know about the robbery that Miller is suspect of committing.

Galax Police are following up on leads hoping to find two missing teenagers, who officers believe are with a 20-year-old woman wanted for robbery.

Investigators tell WSLS that they have received numerous tips through the Galax Police Department's Facebook page, and believe 15-year-olds Gabriella Faith Davis and Emma Lee Padgett are still with Catheryn "Cat" Miller.

Officers are working with the Buchanan County, Virginia Sheriff's Office, because they say Miller has ties to that area.

Davis, Padgett, and Miller were last seen at the Glendale Apartments complex in Galax around 8:00 p.m. this past Saturday night.  Investigators say they have determined that Davis and Padgett went to the apartment complex with friends, and met with Miller there.  Posts from the girls' Facebook pages lead officers to believe that the girls knew Miller before they disappeared, considered her a friend, and had discussed with her about leaving the area prior to Saturday.
