Roanoke launches mobile site for tourism

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Roanoke - The Roanoke Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau launches their new mobile website.

People visiting the Roanoke area can use their mobile devices to find restaurants, hotels, and activities in the valley.  The mobile site was modeled after similar sites for big tourism locations like New York and Las Vegas.

“We really think this item not only will get them here, but they will be able to get to the different businesses, tourism businesses, a lot easier and spend money,” said Marketing Director Debra Wright.

The site also sends driving directions to your phone, for the places you'd like to go.

You can check out the site at www.visitroanokeva.com
