Michael Jackson furniture exhibit unveiled in Roanoke

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Some pop culture history has landed in Roanoke and the crowds were moonwalking to it in waves.

Grand Home Furnishings at Valley View Mall unveiled a new Michael Jackson exhibit Saturday morning. The store is now home to a chair and an armoire that came from the King of Pop's bedroom.

The armoire features a message Jackson wrote to himself as he was preparing for his tour just before his death.

"We wanted to share a piece of history with everyone and welcome everyone to come and we're grateful that they showed up" said Robert Bennett, Grand Home Furnishings Executive Vice President.

Both pieces will be on display at the store until at least April.

The store would not say how much they paid at auction to win the furniture.
