A local police department is using an unusual tool to try and solve a murder case.

You’ve probably seen re-enactments on crime shows before ... but recently the Danville Police Department created this re-enactment of an April murder that happened on a playground. The department worked with Danville TV Channel 20 to produce the video. Some high school actors also volunteered to help out.

The actual crime left 24-year-old Ivory Law dead. Another man was shot, treated and later released from the hospital.

Investigators do have a suspect in the case. The man they are looking for is 19-year-old Kavion Bennett.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, you’re asked to call Danville Crimestoppers at (434) 793-0000. Meanwhile Police are also putting their video clip on youtube.com in hopes of getting the word out.
