Halloween Candy, tricks or treats?
I don’t go trick-or-treating door to door, but you could say I got the day after. Everyone in the newsroom typically brings in all of their left over candy and pile it up on a desk. We all pretty much graze throughout the day.
I’ve always thought… these are the snack size candy bars, etc so they’re not that bad, right? Apparently that’s soooooooooo wrong!!! One of my many favorites is Kit Kat bars. The article says just one of those tiny snack sizes, two little bars, is more than two hundred calories and 11 grams of fat. Talk about a guilty pleasure!!
I was on the website “WebMD” the other day and came across an article explaining just how bad some of those treats can really be. On the flip side, the article offered healthier alternatives. But who wants twizzlers when creamy milk chocolate calls???
I came across a kit kat yesterday and flipped the package over to see the nutritional value for myself. It wasn’t on there!! I guess they put the information on the large bag the snack sizes come in. Guess I’ll post that outside my door for all the health conscience trick or treaters that want to see exactly what they’re eating!!
Here’s a link to the article. Happy trick or treating!!
