Witness says car flipped several times on Route 460 in Roanoke County

A car flips off Route 460 in Roanoke County, near Bonsack

Roanoke County Police just put out an update to the crash.
Investigators say charges are pending against Patricia Burge.
Officer tell us EMS crews took Burge to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, after the crash.
Police do not know if Burge wore a seatbelt, or if she was drinking at the time of the crash.

6:34 p.m.
An afternoon crash left a woman trapped in her car.
It happened just before 3:00 p.m. on Route 460 in Roanoke County.
The car completely flipped on its roof.
Crews worked to remove the woman from her car.
Police say it was the only vehicle involved.
Witnesses tell us they saw the woman speeding down the road.
Another woman says she saw what happened and stopped to make sure the woman was ok.
“We saw a car go up on the air and it flipped about three or four times. The person in the car started rolling through the car, she comes in and out of the window and then the car finally stops with her underneath it,“ said Kathy Brown.
Roanoke County Police are still investigating the crash. 10 On Your Side will have more information as it becomes available.

Roanoke County Police say a single car crash is blocking Route 460 (Where it’s known as Challenger Ave.) near the Roanoke City/County line, just before Bonsack.
Traffic will be moving slowly through the area.
