Fire burning on Brushy Mountain in Alleghany Co.

The U.S. Forest Service Dept. of Agriculture says a fire is burning about 12 miles west of Covington on the south side of Brushy Mountain in Alleghany Co.
They say the fire was reported around 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
So far, they say 20-25 acres has burned.
Crews are on scene, but more have been requested.
They say the terrain is steep and remote area.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
