Money handed out from Roanoke’s Party in the Park

Eventzone’s Party in the Park raised $12,000 this past summer.  Five non-profit groups were each given $2,400 during a reception Thursday night at the BB&T building in Downtown Roanoke.

The groups that received proceeds are Roanoke Area Ministries, the YWCA, the Southwest Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank, Kimoyo and the Council on Community Services.
