Motorcycle becomes makeshift memorial for truck...
Farrell Kantsos, Jr.'s motorcycle sits where he left it before getting in his tanker truck Saturday.A makeshift memorial honors the young truck driver killed in that fiery tanker crash on 220 in Roanoke.
Farrell Kantsos, Jr., age 24, rode his motorcycle to work Saturday but never made it back to the bike.
It now sits in front of the WilcoHess station in Raphine, as the centerpiece of the memorial. It’s covered in flowers with a poster behind it showing pictures of Kantsos with his family.
That’s where we found fellow trucker Ralph Steele paying his respects.
“Just to see his bike without a rider is really sad.“, says Steele.
Kantsos is survived by his wife and three young children.
A memorial service has been set for Kantsos.
It will be held Friday at 1p.m. at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral home in Stuarts Draft.
