One man dies in motorcycle crash

One man is dead after a motorcycle accident Friday night.

Rocky Mount Police say 39-year-old Donald Ledbetter Jr. of Rocky Mount was traveling on Trail Dr. near States St. when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a telephone pole.

Police say it happened around 8:00 p.m.

Ledbetter was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say he was wearing a helmet and the accident is under investigation.
