A man is dead after a crash in Bedford County.

It happened around 3p.m. Wednesday on Route 221.

State Police say a 17 year old girl driving a SUV rear ended a car while the car was turning into Goode Country Store.

The car’s front passenger, 22 year old Cody Campbell, was pronounced dead at Lynchburg General Hospital.  He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The car was driven by 72 year old Elenor Stanley.

After hitting the car, police say the SUV then crossed the center line and hit an AEP bucket truck.  The truck overturned.  The truck was driven by Grover Goolsby, III.

Goolsby, Stanley, the 17 year old and an 8 year on in the backseat of Stanley’s car were all taken to Lynchburg General Hospital.  None were badly hurt.  All of the people involved in the crash are from Goode.
