New veterans clinic set to open in Lynchburg

A new veterans clinic is set to open today in Lynchburg.

The Dept. of Veterans affairs is opening a new clinic today at 1600 Lakeside Drive.

They say it’s part of an effort to bring care to those veterans that don’t live near the Salem VA Medical Center.

The clinic will be able to serve 6,300 patients at capacity and will provide primary care and general mental health services to enrolled veterans in Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell Counties.
