All proceeds will benefit the Jarrett Lane Memorial Fund.Dozens will tee off tomorrow for the Jarrett Lane Memorial Golf Tournament.
Jarrett was one of the April 16th shooting victims at Virginia Tech more than two years ago.
We’re told more than 50 people have already signed up to honor the fallen Hokie.
All proceeds will benefit his memorial fund that helps send kids to college.
It will be held at Castle Rock Golf and Recreation in Pembroke.
Tracey Lane, Jarrett’s mom, says it gives her comfort knowing events in her son’s honor can help others further their education, which is something her son would have wanted.
“I know the financial burden it can bring a family and parents and the students so to be able to give them some relief, you know, and to know their child will have a little bit of burden lifted from them it really does help,“ said Tracey Lane.
The tournament starts at 9 a.m.
If you want to play and haven’t signed up, then you need to be at the golf course at 8:30 a.m. SHARP.
The registration fee is $300 per team.
