Halifax County missing man found

Updated Tuesday 10:32 a.m.: The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office tells us Garland Matthew Guill has been located near Montgomery, Alabama.  They did not release any other information.

Deputies are searching for a Halifax County man who has gone missing.

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office says the family Garland Matthew Guill tells them he never arrived at his destination.

The family told investigators that Garland left his home in Scottsburg this past Thursday, June 4th, and was driving to Burlington, North Carolina for business.  The family said Garland spoke to his parents on the phone last Thursday, but Garland never arrived at his destination in Burlington.

The family says no one has been able to contact Garland.

Guill is described as:

White man
37-years-old
6 feet tall
Weighs 209 lbs.
Brown eyes
Brown hair (head may be shaved)

Deputies say Guill is believed to be driving a green 2004 Chevy Tahoe SUV, with Virginia license plate KMJ-4926.
