Route 501 blocked by tractor trailer crash in Halifax County

VDOT says a tractor trailer crash is blocking Route 501 in Halifax County.

The crash has both northbound lanes closed near Route 907 (Thornton-Jim Trail), in the Volens area of the county.

VDOT says the truck was hauling bundled cardboard.

The lane closures are expected to last into the evening.
