At this camp, kids are Civil War soldiers for a day

Registration is under way for Fort Collier Kids’ Civil War History Camp: “The Army Recruit’s First Day in the Life of a Civil War Solider.“

The camp, open to “recruits” ages 7-12, will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 31, 2008. The cost is $25 for registration by May 24; $30 for walk-ons. The rain date is June 7, 2008.

Fort Collier is at 922 Martinsburg Pike in Winchester.
