Virginia Marine killed in Iraq

A marine from Burkeville, Va., has died in Iraq, the U.S. Department of Defense said.

Cpl. Jonathan T. Yale, 21, died April 22 from wounds suffered while conducting combat operations in the Al Anbar province.

Yale was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
