Roanoke police investigate drug store robbery

    Roanoke police are investigating a drug store robbery.  It happened just after 6 on Monday, December 1 at the Super-D Drug Store.  That’s located in the 400 block of 9th Street.  Three employees tell police a while man walked inside the store wearing a dark-colored stocking cap and scarf around his face.  The suspect told the employees he had a gun.  Police say the man tried to take several bottles of medicine from behind the counter, but two employees fought back.  Police say the suspect eventually ran away without taking anything.  Police have not made any arrests.  If you have any information, call Crime Line at (540) 344-8500.
