Sexual Assault Arrest That Dates Back 34 Years
A Grany Jury handed down four indictments today for 66-year-old William Saul of Salem.
The investigation into the case began in August of 2007, after a family member accused Saul of sexual abuse between the years of 1971 and 1974.
At the time the alleged victim was eight years old.
Saul was arrested Friday night near his home.
He’s being held in the Roanoke Co. Jail.

While horrific, hasn’t the statue of limitations expired on this type of crime, which probably wasn’t on the books back then. It would be interesting to learn of how this charge will be substantiated.
