National Women’s Health Week

The New River Valley Health District will be celebrating National Women’s Health Week which starts on Mother’s Day and runs through May 17th.  You can stop by any health department in the NRV this Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for free health information.  There will also be information about Every Woman’s Life Program, which offers free Paps and mammograms to eligible women.  The New River Health District, in cooperation with the New River Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Team, is co-sponsoring a Giles Women’s Night Out on Monday, May 14.  It will be from 5-7 p.m. at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, Cascade Room.  There will be enrollment information about the Every Woman’s Life Program, health literature, light refreshments, gifts, and door prizes.
